Spreadsheet hell

There's an interesting article over on Supply Excellence where Justin Fogarty refers to a presentation given by Ramsay Chu, VP of strategic sourcing at Fiserv.

It tells of how Chu moved his department away from its BASS system to increase spend visibility of the entire organisation. Those of you who haven't heard of BASS, that's not surprising. According to Chu, it stands for "Big Ass Spread Sheet" and was the historical spend analysis system in place at his company...

Quite a common scenario, I'm sure, I just wonder if anyone can beat his acronym!
